Burner Boy wins BET for two consecutive times

The award was presented to the singer by British model Naomi Campbell.

Giving his acceptance speech, Burna Boy said, “I’ll like to use this opportunity to say that sometime around 1835, there was a mission to turn Africa into a dominated nation.”

“Now is the time to overturn that and go back to the royalty that we were, because, in order for black lives to matter, Africa must matter”

Lil Wayne performed a special tribute to Kobe Bryant who died in a helicopter crash with his daughter.

DaBaby won Best Male Hip-hop artistes while Meghan The Stallion won Best Female Hip-Hop artiste.

Beyonce who won BET HET Award also got presented the BET Humanitarian Award from former First Lady Michelle Obama.
