Kalibi Sporting Club Women’s Volleyball Team Pays Courtesy Call on Ghana’s Ambassador to Egypt
The Women’s Volleyball Division of Kalibi Sporting Club has paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s Ambassador to Egypt, H.E. Prof. Korantwi-Barimah, ahead of the club’s participation in the 2026 Women’s African Clubs Volleyball Championship.

The delegation, led by the President of the club, Mr. Bernard Monarh, together with technical officials, visited the Ghana Embassy in Egypt to officially inform the Mission about the team’s participation in the prestigious continental competition being hosted by Al Ahly Sporting Club.
During the meeting, the team briefed the Ambassador on their preparations and readiness for the championship. H.E. Prof. Korantwi-Barimah welcomed the delegation and applauded the club for representing Ghana on the African stage.
The Embassy also assured the team of its support, stating that the necessary courtesies and assistance are being extended to ensure a smooth and successful participation throughout the tournament.
Kalibi Sporting Club is expected to compete against some of the best women’s volleyball clubs across Africa in the championship, which serves as one of the continent’s biggest volleyball competitions.
The participation of the Ghanaian club is seen as a significant step in promoting Ghana volleyball and giving local players valuable international exposure.
