Fred has urged Paul Pogba to pledge his future to Manchester United as the Frenchman continues to be linked with a move away from the club.
Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are long-term admirers of the World Cup-winning midfielder and are willing to pay £100million for his services.
Questions are often raised about Pogba’s commitment to the cause at United, with agent Mino Raiola often driving a wedge between his client and club.
However, team-mate Fred is desperate for him to stay and believes Pogba will continue to play an important part in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad going forward.
Speaking to Brazilian TV channel Esporte Interativo, Fred said: ‘Pogba is a great player. The people who are here on a daily basis with him know that.
‘Everyone who watched the World Cup and watched his football knows that he’s a great player.
‘And for sure we want him to stay. Because he will add us a lot. He’s a guy who has an immense quality, he’s a strong player for the Premier League.
