Renard, worked as deputy Coach for the Black Stars during the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations held in Ghana.
The ‘Witch Doctor’ deputized to assist former head coach Claude Ley Roy.
He is the first coach to win two Africa Cup of Nations with different countries having won it in 2012 with Zambia and Ivory Coast in 2015.
He seems not to be satisfied with the glory he has achieved on the African continent and still thirst for another glory and this time with Ghana.
“Yes I have to come back one day to help one country to win, and that country haven’t won it for a long time and that’s is your country Ghana, I will love to win this feat with the Black Stars,” he told Juliet Bawuah.
The ‘witch doctor’ had his first stint with African football when he was appointed by the Ghana Football Association as a deputy to, Claude Le Roy, to lead Ghana to a host and win in the 2008 MTN Africa Cup of Nations.
After failing to win the ultimate glory Ghana has been hoping to win for years, he joined the Zambia National team after parting ways with Ghana in 2008.
Ghana placed third in the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations.
